What indications can you find that suggest why the young man
decided not to follow the savior?
He was struggling with the idea of selling all that he had
in order to follow the savior.
How does Matthew 6:19-24 help explain his choice?
He treasured things of the earth more than he treasured
things in heaven. He did not understand that the values of things of heaven are
greater because they do not corrupt. They cannot be stolen. His heart was in the wrong place.
What blessings did the Savior promise to those who make
sacrifices to follow Him?
If therefore thine aeye be bsingle, thy whole body shall be
full of clight. Essentially they will
become prepared to enter into
In order for you to desire to follow Christ
you should kneel before God and ask him for his help to overcome your faults
that are preventing you from doing so. You should keep the commandments so that
the spirit is not offended and can stay with you to. Be willing to give up things of little or no

3. We learn that God will treat everyone equally. Even though some may be or promising stalwart
now doesn’t mean that we cannot fall for a time and same with those that were
raised without the church. They can find
it and give it there all once they do.
God is no respecter of persons.
It helps converts to realize that everyone will be treated
equal and God will give everyone the opportunity to hear and share to gospel.
If I could talk to someone who feels that they are being
treated unfairly I would say the quote “ I complained and complained about all
the walking until I ran into someone who didn’t have feet” Life is about seeing
the bigger picture. If we do we will
understand that everything God does is just and equal.
